Doctors Hospital of Augusta
The University Health Care System (“UH”), is a leading health system in Augusta-Richmond County and the surrounding region for more than 200 years. The system is anchored by the 812-bed University Hospital, which was established as City Hospital in 1818. UH has grown into one of the largest healthcare providers in the Georgia and South Carolina region, providing skilled care through comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, nursing facilities, home health services, rehabilitative care programs, and urgent care facilities.
In addition to the treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, the facilities include outpatient lab and X-ray services on-site. Both properties are strategically located off heavily travelled thoroughfares and are within short driving distance of affiliated medical centers.
